Media Asset Management System
The Weitong Media Asset Management System is a product designed by Chengdu Weitong Information Technology Co., Ltd. to address the issue of preserving and reusing various rich media materials (video, audio, images, documents, etc.) in the era of converged media. It adopts a highly flexible Browser/Server (BS) architecture, enabling the full-process application of materials from collection, cataloging, storage, archiving to publishing, retrieval, and invocation. The system features a secure structure, flexible design, and convenient operation, helping users easily transform materials into assets and build a truly digital multimedia archive.
technical advantage
1. Adopt software codec module
Utilizing software codec, it achieves extensive format support ranging from civilian to professional and broadcast levels, with simple and convenient upgrades and strong scalability. Meanwhile, files retrieved from the media asset system can be set to the desired format according to application needs, allowing for free transcoding and facilitating secondary utilization. Supporting a wide range of file formats, automatic transcoding through the backend makes it possible to synchronously publish the same content across different terminals and platforms, using varying bitrates, resolutions, and encoding formats.
2. Support multi-terminal applications
Traditional media asset management systems are mostly developed based on CS technology architecture. In the era of converged media, media assets need to meet the access requirements of various application terminals. Currently, the Zhiling media asset management system supports PC, mobile devices, and H5. Whether it's an intranet or an extranet, whether it's a PC or a mobile terminal, users can quickly access and reprocess media content, enabling a "leap" in the value of media assets.
3. Four major safety prevention systems
The Zhiling Media Asset Management System is developed based on the Linux operating system, which offers higher security compared to platforms based on Windows. The system supports both primary and backup databases, with automatic and regular backup functions to ensure database security. During data reading and writing, the Zhiling Media Asset Management System employs a "blacklist and whitelist deep detection" system to automatically perform deep detection on files. Only secure files are allowed to be stored, further enhancing the system's security. The Zhiling Media Asset Management System adopts mechanisms such as high and low bit rate video and audio streams, image proxies, and document proxies to effectively isolate original materials during retrieval and production. This ensures the security of original materials while improving browsing and cataloging efficiency, thus providing a fast user experience.
4. Provide open interfaces
The Smart Media Asset Management System can be used as a standalone media asset repository, or as a data center in the era of converged media, providing various types of interfaces to facilitate rapid secondary production and publishing of content. The system provides a rich set of interfaces for efficient and secure interconnection with converged media publishing systems, non-linear editing networks, and broadcasting networks.
5. Adopt a cluster architecture for design
The core components such as storage and transcoding adopt a cluster architecture design. Insufficient resources can be expanded by adding nodes, and business processing between backends can also be hot-standby, load balancing, and automatic failover, effectively improving the reliability of data transmission and minimizing the impact of failures on business processes to the greatest extent.
